The Spirit recorded a shutout against the Capitals 9-0 in home game

The College Station Spirit struggled against the Atlanta Capitals allowing Talon Medure to score a hat trick as the Spirit crushed Atlanta 9-0 in a home game at Spirit Ice Arena in College Station. Moreover, the Spirit's defense had a poor night, allowing the Capitals 37 shots throughout the game. The Atlanta Capitals took the lead early in the first on a goal from Dillon Steh and never looked back.

Cole Thomas Johnson contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Christopher Linde delivered for his team with 2 assists.

During the first period, Steh opened the scoring for Atlanta with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:12 with helpers from teammates Gustin and Opie. Medure put in a goal at 13:06 with helpers from his linemates, Steh and Gustin. Medure netted a goal at 17:29 with assists from his linemates, Steh and Gustin.

During the second period, Johnson deposited a goal at 2:26 with assists from Nielsen and Linde. Medure quickly followed with a goal at 4:03 with helpers from his linemates, Gustin and Steh. Lavergne put in a goal at 13:07 with assists from Johnson and Cornic. Nielsen scored a goal at 18:03 with a helper from Adams.

In the third period, Gustin netted a goal at 17:09 with helpers from Nielsen and Linde. Nielsen quickly followed with a goal at 17:55 with assists from his linemates, Gustin and Medure.
