The Spirit recorded a shutout against the Jr. Stars 6-0 in home game

The College Station Spirit struggled against the Mid Cities Jr. Stars allowing Nick Sheridan to score a hat trick as the Spirit crushed Mid Cities 6-0 in a home game at Spirit Ice Arena in College Station. In addition, the Spirit's defense had a poor night, allowing the Jr. Stars 38 shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead early in the first on a goal from Snyder Nick and never looked back.

Conor Simpson contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Blake Wood did his part, adding 2 assists.

In the first, Nick opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:45 with helpers from his teammates Speights and Simpson. Koehn put in a goal at 11:38 with helpers from his linemates, Rooney and Greco. Sheridan scored a goal at 13:39 with assists from his linemates, Simpson and Speights.

During the second period, Sheridan deposited a goal at 12:57 with assists from his linemates, Kesling and Greco. Sheridan put in a goal at 16:26 with helpers from Wood and Allen.

In the third, Simpson netted a goal at 6:22 with helpers from Sheridan and Wood.

This loss brings the College Station Spirit’s record to (2-36-0-0).
