The Spirit recorded a shutout against the Jr. Stars 7-0 in home game

Matthew Lenz posted a shutout, stopping all 13 of the College Station Spirit shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead early in the first on a goal from Conor Simpson and never looked back.

Brandon Speights contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Nick Sheridan delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first, Simpson opened the scoring for Mid Cities with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:41 with a helper from fellow Jr. Stars forward Speights.

In the second period, Speights netted a goal at 5:37 with helpers from Nick and Fisher. Nick put in a goal at 9:08 with an assist from Speights. Sheridan scored a goal at 12:55 with assists from teammates Allen and Nick. Rooney deposited a goal at 16:31 with a helper from his linemate Sheridan. Nick netted a goal at 18:50 with assists from Allen and Sheridan.

In the third, Taylor put in a goal at 18:24 with a helper from defenseman Fisher.

This loss brings the College Station Spirit’s record to (2-42-0-0).
