The Spirit recorded a shutout against the Jr. Stars 9-0 in home game

Matthew Lenz posted a shutout, stopping all 22 of the College Station Spirit shots throughout the game. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead early in the first on a goal from Matthew Taylor and never looked back.

Brandon Speights chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Nick Sheridan delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Taylor opened the scoring for the Jr. Stars with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:47 with a helper from Koehn. Speights deposited a goal at 7:17. Rooney put in a goal at 10:45 with a helper from his linemate Speights.

In the second, Rooney scored a goal at 0:56 with an assist from Sheridan. Rooney netted a goal at 12:45 with a helper from his teammate Speights. Rooney deposited a goal at 18:15.

During the third period, Brain put in a goal at 3:38 with assists from Greco and Allen. Fisher scored a goal at 13:03 with helpers from Rooney and Lenz. Sheridan netted a goal at 18:05 with an assist from Rooney.

This loss brings the College Station Spirit’s record to (2-40-0-0).
