The Spirit struggled against the Capitals 11-1 in home game

The College Station Spirit struggled against the Atlanta Capitals allowing Dillon Steh to score a hat trick as College Station crushed Atlanta 11-1 in a home game at Center Ice Arena in College Station. The Atlanta Capitals took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Dillon Steh and never looked back.

Talon Medure had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Andrei Rusakov contributed with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).

During the first period, Warner opened the scoring for the Capitals with a goal at 7:23 with helpers from his linemates, Rusakov and Smith. Steh put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:28 with helpers from teammates Carlo and Opie. Johnson quickly followed with a goal at 9:56 with assists from his linemates, Nielsen and Ladzinski. Erickson quickly followed with a goal at 11:51 with helpers from Borhot and Bragg. Medure quickly followed with a goal at 12:16 with an assist from Steh. Ladzinski quickly followed with a goal at 14:14 with helpers from his linemates, Nielsen and Johnson.

In the second period, Steh put in a goal at 1:01 with assists from Medure and Moore. Cornic netted a goal at 11:51 with helpers from his linemates, Ladzinski and Smith.

During the third, Rusakov deposited a goal at 3:15 with assists from Smith and Opie. Steh quickly followed with a goal at 4:36 with helpers from his linemates, Gustin and Carlo. Rusakov netted a goal at 8:38 with an assist from Steh. Medure scored a goal at 17:56 with a helper from fellow Capitals forward Carlo.

This loss brings the College Station Spirit’s record to (2-32-0-0).
