The Spirit struggled against the Capitals 4-1 in home game

The College Station Spirit's defense had a poor night, allowing the Atlanta Capitals 34 shots throughout the game. The Atlanta Capitals took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Cole Thomas Johnson.

Cameron Smith chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the second period, Cornic opened the scoring for Atlanta with a goal at 5:14. Johnson deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:01. Elliott finally put the Spirit on the board with a goal at 15:11 with assists from his linemates, Jefferies and Borhot. Smith answered for the Capitals with a goal at 19:26.

During the third period, Nielsen netted a goal at 20:00 with helpers from his linemates, Smith and Ladzinski.

This loss brings the College Station Spirit’s record to (1-26-0-0).
