The Spirit struggled against the Drillers 5-1 in home game

Ryan O’toole came up big, stopping 55 of 60 shots throughout the game. The Louisiana Drillers took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Brandon Morgan and never looked back.

Brent Wroblewski had a busy night with 2 goals and Hayden Watzka did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first period, Wroblewski opened the scoring for Louisiana with a goal at 6:58 with helpers from his linemates, Jorajuria and Morgan. Morgan quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:26 with an assist from defenseman Denning. Dolese deposited a goal at 9:28 with helpers from teammates Wotta and Watzka.

In the second, Wroblewski put in a goal at 2:55 with assists from Denning and Zittel.

During the third, Watzka scored a goal at 14:30 with helpers from Wotta and Dolese. Svondrk finally put the Spirit on the board with a goal at 19:32 with assists from his linemates, Butler and Palamara.

This loss brings the College Station Spirit’s record to (2-38-0-0).
