The Spirit struggled against the Drillers 6-1 in home game

The College Station Spirit struggled against the Louisiana Drillers allowing Brandon Vukasin to score a hat trick as the Spirit crushed Louisiana 6-1 in a home game at Planet Ice Rink in College Station. Moreover, Ryan O’toole came up big, stopping 31 of 37 shots throughout the game. The Louisiana Drillers took the lead early in the second on a goal from Brandon Vukasin.

Zach Smith delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Drew Wotta had a busy night with 2 assists.

During the first period, Vukasin opened the scoring for the Drillers with a goal at 10:42 with a helper from his linemate Jorajuria.

In the second, Vukasin put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:12 with helpers from his linemates, Wotta and Regino. Hale netted a goal at 12:04 with assists from teammates Smith and Zittel. Smith scored a goal at 18:21.

In the third, Vukasin put in a goal at 1:13 with an assist from fellow Drillers forward Wotta. Watzka deposited a goal at 7:26 with helpers from Smith and Morgan. Palamara finally put College Station on the board with a goal at 13:43 with helpers from Jeffries and Dacey.

This loss brings the College Station Spirit’s record to (1-12-0-0).
