The Spirit struggled against the Jr. Stars 9-2 in home game

The College Station Spirit struggled against the Mid Cities Jr. Stars allowing Nick Sheridan to score a hat trick as the Spirit crushed Mid Cities 9-2 in a home game at Dr. Pepper StarCenter-Euless in College Station. The Mid Cities Jr. Stars took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Tyler Schulz.

Preston Palamara delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Brenden Fehlig had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 assists. Brandon Speights contributed with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Travis Brain chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist).

During the first period, Sheridan opened the scoring for Mid Cities with a goal at 2:34 with a helper from his linemate Speights. Schulz netted a goal at 15:45 with helpers from his linemates, Brain and Greco.

In the third, Schulz put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:23 with assists from his linemates, Taylor and Simpson. Ely quickly followed with a goal at 6:41 with assists from teammates Fehlig and Palamara. Sheridan quickly followed with a goal at 8:22 with helpers from Nick and Rooney. Brain quickly followed with a goal at 8:50 with a helper from Greco. Speights put in a goal at 11:51. Sheridan quickly followed with a goal at 12:35. Palamara quickly followed with a goal at 13:24 with assists from his teammates Frado and Fehlig. Brain answered for Mid Cities with a goal at 16:17 with a helper from his linemate Schulz. Speights quickly followed with a goal at 18:09 with assists from Nick and Fisher.
